Meet your Therapist
Julian Sachs, LICSW MSW
Hi, my name is Julian and thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I hope you’ve found the answers you are looking for and if not, please feel free to reach out with any questions or to inquire about availability.
I’m a therapist based in Minnesota. My background is in clinical social work and I have spent most of my career working with people that are disabled, disenfranchised, and underserved. I have a passion for helping people discover ways to make their lives work better for them -- more sustainable and with a healthy balance. This can look like creative solutions: outside of the box thinking while remaining person centered, since YOU are the expert of your experience. I am here to help you uncover your values and needs if you have not gotten the chance to explore them yet, and to support you in working towards your goals.
I specialize in working with the queer community and providing a safe space to explore identity and social roles. Part of this work is often to process the particular hurt and trauma that often comes with coming out and real fears around navigating the world as you express yourself authentically.
I also specialize in working with Autistic folks, ADHD, and dissociative disorders. I strongly believe in supporting neurodivergent folks in building sustainable lives with the support and flexibility needed, rather than masking and assimilating into mainstream culture. I see the trauma, anxiety, and burnout it creates, and I hope to help deconstruct some of those harmful messages and use those creative solutions to support you in achieving your goals.
I have worked with a lot of different diagnoses and circumstances, so please feel free to reach out to see if we are a good fit!
